From a farming family to trading machines
I grew up among fields and seasons, fell in love with numbers as a child, and became an engineer almost by accident. trade4farm is where those three paths meet: trading systems that follow rules instead of feelings, built so that ordinary people can earn from the markets and still have time for what matters.
The story
Roots in the soil. I come from a farmer family. Before I knew what a market was, I knew what a season was: you prepare the land, you sow, you wait, and you accept that some years the rain comes late.
A childhood love of numbers. Mathematics was my favourite subject from the very beginning, and my dream was to become a Chartered Accountant.
Engineering, by chance. Life took a different turn, and I learned engineering instead: the skill to build things that work on their own.
Why machines, not gut feeling. Most retail traders trade on hope and fear; SEBI's own studies found that 9 out of 10 individual traders in equity futures and options lost money. So I wrote down every rule, tested each one on years of minute-by-minute market data, and built systems that follow those rules every day, without emotion, to help retail traders stop losing money to manual trading.
Why trade4farm: trade for the farm
trade: the machines do the trading, in at the open and out by the close. 4: for; the trading works for something bigger. farm: the roots of India, where many of us come from and would love to spend more of our time.
The goal
A secondary income from the markets with systems that do the watching for you, and the time to return to the roots of India: the farm, the village and family. No season is guaranteed: these systems have losing days, weeks and months, and live results usually come in well below backtests.
